APS5 Executive Assistant Job until EOFY with Possible Extension

Your new role
You will join the Department to provide support to a very busy executive, they are looking for someone highly skilled and experienced. You will initially be engaged in a 6 Month hourly rate contract with full salary and benefits with view for permanency at the conclusion of contract.



  • Provide efficient and confidential executive support to the executive, including collecting and sharing information, monitoring correspondence and acting as first point of contact.

  • Arrange appointments and meetings and maintain an electronic diary, there are a lot of changes in his diary on a daily basis

  • Assist with the arrangements of all domestic and international travel (lots of travel!)

  • Arrange accommodation, and other assistance as necessary.

  • Screen all incoming telephone calls

  • Putting out spot fires

  • Peruse and print emails and printed documents as requested for meetings.

  • Photocopy documents as required and shred all classified documents.






What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience working as an APS5 Executive Assistant, you will be able to work in a busy environment and management multiple requests at the same time. You will take the opportunity to learn and develop within this role and are excited to hit the ground running. You will be an extremely organised individual who is able to plan and prepare a senior executives day without conflict. You enjoy a challenging, multi-lateral role where you are able to think on your feet and rise to a new challenge every day. Candidates with a You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline or up to NV2) personnel security clearance to be considered for this vacancy.
