Health Support Queensland delivers a wide range of diagnostic, scientific, clinical support and payroll services to enable the delivery of frontline health care. The commercialised business unit provides critical services to Hospital and Health Services, other government agencies, commercial clients and the community.

Health Contact Centre - provides confidential health assessment and information services to Queenslanders 24/7 over the phone (13HEALTH and 13QUIT) and online. Services include specific advice on child health and parenting, chronic disease self-management and Quitline counselling.

To be successful in this position, we are looking for applicants who can who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level specialist advice on, and support for dedicated clinical applications such as Clinical Decision Support Systems, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Windows applications and directories of human services such as QFinder 2.0

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment.

  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions.

  • Experience in identifying issues and risks and communicating these to the appropriate personnel.

  • Demonstrated skills in all aspects of project management, including facilitation, consultation, stakeholder engagement, and business process mapping.

Mandatory qualifications/professional registration/other requirements

While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.

Vaccine preventable diseases (VPD)

It may be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.

Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be required for this position.

Existing staff that are engaged prior to 1 July 2016 are not subject to this condition of employment unless they apply for a role with VPD requirements that is with a different Queensland Health entity (i.e. one HHS to another HHS, Department to a HHS, or HHS to Department).
