Job empowering Aboriginal Communities to update their digital Health record - Part Time - Working Remotely

Your new company

Is a government agency providing and promoting digital health services across Australia. They are working towards the goal set by the government that every Australian should have a health record registered. This is a vibrant growth area, and more importantly, one that can make real difference in the lives of many Australians.

Your new role

Your new role will be to engage and promote the use of a digital platform recording patient data across Aboriginal Health systems. You will be focusing on the primary care workforce and enable healthcare providers to confidently navigate the platform. You will ensure that training, education and support is tailored and culturally appropriate to fit various stakeholders. You will engage with various communities as well as Aboriginal Health workers, GPs and other clinical staff to promote the project. Although most of your role is able to be done remotely (from home). You will represent the agency by attending conferences and other community forums. Occasionally you will go out to communities and will oversee the training and communication engagements and also deliver face to face, peer based training to clinicians and staff.

What you'll need to succeed

  • This is an identified Aboriginal position and the successful candidate will be of

Aboriginal descent (S14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW).

  • CERT III Aboriginal Primary Health Care (or equivalent)

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of health issues affecting Aboriginal patients.

  • Program management and coordination experience.

  • Strong administration, communication and coordination experience within Health.

  • Exposure to Health promotion projects.

  • Ability to build strategic relationships with various stakeholders.

  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Experience in training or facilitating workshops.
