Short Description:

 To provide maintenance and support of application systems to enable system availability, reliability and achievement of service level requirements
 To plan, organize and technically lead and control the team. Responsible for maintenance and support of application systems (scope - a single large/complex system and/or a group of applications) to enable achievement of required system availability, reliability and service levels

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Advanced application development/Support knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, Node.JS, React.JS, in addition to responsive CSS3 and HTML5 front-end technologies. Writing well designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Strong Web/API development skills using .NET framework 4.0, 4.5, 4.6 and .NET Core MVC, C# and ASP.NET. Experience with development with SQL Server and TSQL
• From Support perspective, I have taken full ownership for Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Capacity Management
• Providing technical solutions to the Business Requirements.
• Providing estimations for the change or enhancement requests (like Operational Expenditure, Contracts creation & renewals).
• Implement Proof of Concepts for projects involving new technologies.
• Identifying and converting manual process to automation which results on reduction of maintenance cost of the application.
• Responsible for the management of the application support including active ownership of query lifecycle processes, delivery on SLA’s and key metrics, client escalations (of support queries), formal client broadcasts, trend analysis and reporting as well as services including formal Support Welcome calls, provision of dedicated and or onsite support, health checks and optimizations.
• Manage escalations from Business, Relationship Managers and End users. Manage all aspects of IT policies and procedures, including IT Security and Disaster Recovery.
• Operate in a way that is collaborative, by playing an active role in the ongoing training and development of the team, driving a high-performance culture by setting and adhering to service standards, managing productivity and attitude and providing regular feedback to the team on their performance.
• Monitor application performance levels to ensure SLAs are met and identify areas for improvement. Review and improve the integration of systems to improve productivity. Maintain and support existing systems while migrating to new applications/technologies.
• Work closely with Change Projects to assist with engagement and delivery of IT projects.
• Performing the Technical verification steps for production release of the project.
• Ensure detailed documentation is maintained across all system components. Documentation of support manuals for the support teams.
• Control and ensure delivery of business recovery, disaster recovery and continuity plans to deliver system availability, reliability, stability, currency and recoverability of applications to meet agreed service levels.
• Control and lead the consistent use and adherence to operational policies, standards, tools and processes employed within assigned teams to ensure consistent quality application maintenance and fulfilment of regulatory obligations.
• Provide subject matter expertise on application strategy to Service Operation Managers or Application Service Managers to identify opportunities for maximising the investment and managing the application lifecycle in sustainable operable solutions
• Coordinate, supervise, mentor and support a team in accordance with people principles and processes, including maintaining optimal structures and clear accountabilities, maximising employee performance, providing mentoring and coaching, etc. to ensure the right people in the right roles to deliver IT services required to achieve business objectives

Essential –
• Extensive/Expert level (7+ years) .NET experience for server side development of services and applications.
• 5+ years of experience working with front-end technologies – .NET Core MVC, C#, ASP.NET Experience with development with SQL Server, JavaScript, Angular JS, React JS and WCF.
• Expert level knowledge on .NET MVC, .NET Frameworks, RESTful API, Web Services.
• Advanced Web App development skills, including HTML5, CSS3 and Node JS.
• Experience with GIT/Bit bucket Source Code management techniques/ tools for software management, Knowledge SDLC tools (JIRA).
• Experience with working on Agile/Scrum method of product implementation and delivery.
• Prior experience on supporting/developing consumer facing applications.
• Proven expertise on stakeholder management and details to attention
• Proven expertise on managing large teams and also in Onshore/Offshore model
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Build automation tools.

Preferred –

• Experience with open source frameworks – Web services related standards e.g. HTTP, REST, SOAP, and OAuth.
• Experience with other API management and/or ESB tools is an added plus.
• Experience with JIRA, Bamboo, BitBucket, Ansible, Confluence and similar tools a major plus.
