Design & Construct are partnering with a very well-established Landlord that has been operating for over25 years’, they build, lease and manage shopping centres across Queensland and Northern NSW.
This company is arguably one of the most stable and reputable in Brisbane; the vast majority of their staff have been there for over 10 years and reward individuals for their loyalty.
You will be based out of their stunning CBD office. Reporting to the Director, you will be required to oversee the OH&S processes, procedures, risk identification, auditing and documentation for the Health and Safety of this companies’ shopping centre assets.
You will therefore be working closely with the Leasing / Property Management team coupled with the onsite Safety Manager on major new build / extension projects, to include ensuring that safety processes are followed during the fit-out of new tenancies (working closely with the tenancy coordinator).
You will be expected to manage the WHS committee meetings, prepare and maintain safety documentation as per Codes of Practice and Australian Standards, advise / assist with the development of shopping centre and construction staff to ensure compliance, advise on changes to legislation and develop, review and update company QHS targets and objectives – coupled with monitoring these targets.
Tertiary qualification(s) in Safety / OHS or equivalent
Accredited auditor (preferred)
Construction experience is essential
Strong all-round administration skills
Ability to travel when required (occasionally)
Retail construction experience will be regarded however not essential
