Your new company
You will be working with a Melbourne based State Government organisation in Central Melbourne (CBD) who have responsibility for implementing legislation across the state. This prestigious organisation has multiple specialists across planning, policy and project management making sure that the Melbourne 2050 vision is implemented effectively.
Your new role
In this diverse planning role, you will be working in a statutory planning team to assist with processing planning applications at a range of scales and complexity in greenfield development and built up areas.
You will be working to provide high level statutory and strategic planning advice to major development schemes and assist multiple stakeholders including local government, other state government bodies, the private sector consultancies and the general public.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified town planner (international qualifications will be considered) with suitable rights to work in Australia. You will have extensive experience either with a Victorian Council, State Government organisation or a private sector planning firm and have an understanding of strategic or statutory planning.
What you'll get in return
You will earn $50 to $58 per hour, depending upon experience, and secure an initial 3 month contract, with the potential to progress within the organisation or to a permanent role if you choose. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to develop your career, working with some of the leading planners in the country.
