Primarily, you will be responsible for providing a range of ancillary functions to support the professional staff including the dispensing and distribution of medications. Contributing to the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service, you will undertake a range activities for inpatients and outpatients. With good data entry skills and proficient in the use of the iPharmacy dispensing software, you will process prescriptions accurately complying with the SA Pharmacy Business Rules as well as the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme. You will also respond to counter and telephone enquiries effectively, providing accurate and appropriate information ensuring confidentiality.
A strong communicator who can confidently undertake a front line customer service role face to face and on the phone, you will be able to interact with people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures. Proficient at dispensing medication for patients, you will bring a successful background working within a hospital pharmacy. Good time management skills are required, and you will bring the ability to work harmoniously within a team setting. In addition to good technical skills and manual dexterity, you must possess the physical ability to undertake required duties such as to lift (medication cartons), push (trolleys) and squat and reach (stock shelves).
