Your new company

Their footprint has expanded exponentially over the last few years and continues to grow. Due to additional staffing requirements, they are seeking a like-minded Operational Accountant to join their team.

Your new role
Supporting the CFO and Financial Controller you will undertake an operationally focused accounting role. This role is designed to fulfill the financial accounting function, however is required to be ‘hands on’ and get involved with the business. You will work closely with the management group on upcoming projects, prepare ad hoc reports, and provide detailed reporting and analysis to aid decision making. Heading up the finance team, your duties will include but not be limited to preparing all financial reports, manage end of month processes, asset management, and provide commentaries for budgeting and forecasts, cost analysis, and KPI reporting. You will be responsible for all statutory reporting for the group including BAS, PAYG, FBT and payroll tax and ensure all policies and procedure are maintained accurately and in accordance with legislation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have demonstrated strong management accounting skills and be an analytical individual. CA/CPA qualifications and experience in a consumer facing market is preferable. A positive attitude and have the ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders are key elements for success. You will have high attention to detail and have a proven ability to meet tight deadlines and targets. You will be a team player and possess natural leadership skills to mentor and develop other individuals and processes within the business. Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems will be advantageous.
