This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 60.8 hours per fortnight.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: CAHS is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to the position of Occupational Safety and Health Assistant. In this role you will provide a comprehensive administrative support function for the OSH Unit within CAHS including completing clerical duties, data input and generate performance indicators from data outputs in line with OSH requirements and in liaison with Manager Occupational Safety and Health You will also processe Workers` Compensation claims, maintain the claim files and assist the OSH Consultant in the maintenance of the OSH database within the OSH portfolio. Additionally, you will undertake Occupational Safety and Health research as directed. Appointments to this position prior to PCH opening will be located initially at PMH in Subiaco. Appointments made following PCH opening will be located in Nedlands.
Area Profile: The $1.2 billion Perth Children`s Hospital is being built on the QEII Medical Centre site in Nedlands and will replace Princess Margaret Hospital as the State`s dedicated children`s hospital. The PCH will have 298 beds, 48 more than PMH and the design of the building allows for future expansion.
