Manager Ground and Training Systems

Airbus Group Australia Pacific is seeking a Ground and Training Systems Manager to join the Multi Role Helicopter (MRH90) Program Management Team as an integral member of the team charged with supporting the delivery of its Projects. The Multi-Role Helicopter is the most advanced tactical troop transport helicopter of the 21st Century.

This Manager Ground and Training Systems is foreseen to provide a Programme Management oversight for the Projects being conducted within the Departments responsibilities.

Reporting to the Director Capability Development and Production this position will ensure effective and efficient systems are in place for delivery of Ground and Training System Projects including In-Service Support to support the greater MRH Program (and ARH Program with respect to Ground Systems).

To be successful in this opportunity, you will possess expertise in the following key skill areas.

  • Leadership over the Strategic Planning and Tactical execution of scope associated with the Ground (both MRH Program and ARH Program) and Training Systems (MRH Program).
  • Strong communication skill enabling the applicant to work closely with various project team members, Managers and staff within the Department and across the Company and externally with suppliers and team Spirit and facilitators to manage international stakeholders such as Airbus Helicopters, Thales and Hensoldt.
  • Reporting and Administration skills to develop weekly, monthly and other reporting to support the Director and key Stakeholders (including the customer) to gain insights into both specific project issues and greater aggregated issues to which require focus.
  • Knowledge and Experience of delivery of Defence (or similar complexity) projects in accordance with a Project Governance Framework
  • Knowledge and Experience of managing a wide range of Projects and Activities, including working within a Program Master Integrated Schedule (IMS) covering multiple project schedules, Cost Analysis for projects and experience of ensuring project cost controls are in place to support successful project execution.
