Your new company
Located only 20 minutes South East from the CBD this exciting council is seeking an experienced animal management officer to join their team. Ideally located next to public transport this council office is easily accessible. The team is going through a big restructure so is in need to a offices to come in and assist with the changes in the local laws team.
Your new role
As one of the Council's Local Laws/Animal Management Officers, you will be supporting the delivery of animal management services to the wider community. Working under the Domestic Animals Act, you will be educating members of the general public in relation to responsible pet ownership and and ensuring the successful delivery of the Council's domestic Animal management plan. You will also be conduction local laws duties such as; abandon cars, noise complaints, rubbish complaints overgrown vegetation & unsightly properties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Animal Management Officer who will ideally possess either 5 years' experience working in an animal management role or a Cert IV in Animal Control & Regulation (or equivalent). You will be able to demonstrate your outstanding knowledge of compliance within in an animal management team and will have outstanding animal handling skills.
