Our client is a recognised global company within the automotive industry with a strong presence across the globe. With multiple business operations and regional teams, they are looking for a hands HR & Safety Coordinator to join the HR team.

Description

As a HR & Safety Coordinator you will be responsible for a combination of day to day HR Operations and delivering safety initiatives in line with global strategies.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing, maintaining and communicating HR policies and procedures
  • Managing and resolving employee relations issues
  • Overseeing WHS policies and practices
  • On boarding of employees
  • Worker’s compensation management
  • HR & WHS reporting
  • Providing advice/support to line managers regarding WHS issues
  • Supporting the Warehouse Manager and Leadership Team to focus on and promote a safe work environment and safe work practices.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in HR or a related discipline / WHS experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Warehouse or blue collar environment
  • Understanding of Australian Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Standards and Regulations is essential
  • Relevant qualifications in Risk Management or Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
