Currently, we are looking for an outstanding Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join our Property team.

About the role

Liaising with the Group Manager Facilities and Property, you’ll deliver high-quality gardening and home maintenance services to our community-based clients and central maintenance team.

You’ll consult and support with clients and stakeholders while using your experience in Horticulture to provide exceptional garden service delivery. You will regularly review garden maintenance processes and equipment with a continuous view for improvement.

You’ll develop individual site strategies for improved garden maintenance, based on existing budgets, resources and equipment. Your leadership will help you consult with management and stakeholders to ensure all expectations and outcomes are met and understood.

As a valued member of the Southern Cross Care team, excellent customer service skills and an ability to effectively work with a range of clients will define your daily duties. Each day you’ll set an example for your colleagues by meeting and exceeding all relevant standards, regulations and laws, and contributing to our continuous improvement plans.

About you

With a Certificate in Horticulture or demonstrated equivalent experience, strong interpersonal skills and ability to consult and experience working in the aged care or retirement housing sectors, you will also demonstrate high-level listening, communication, team building and time management skills.

All Southern Cross Care employees are required to hold a current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of employment in Aged Care.
