Under general direction the Education Officer will assist in the development and delivery of education and public programs to enhance the visitor experience, both onsite and online. The work will also include the administration of the Memorial Box outreach program, including bookings, freight, maintenance audits and appropriate reporting as required. This role also contributes to the training of Education staff.
Under general direction as a member of a team or as project co-ordinator, perform a range of tasks, including:
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate education programs, including digital resources, aligned to the Australian curriculum.
• Contribute to education and public program projects, including research, writing and stakeholder liaison and engagement.
• Coordinate the administration and forward planning of the Memorial Box program including bookings, dispatching boxes, maintenance of collection content, and liaison with state agents and stakeholders, collating accurate reporting data as required.
• Contribute to the training and supervision of casual staff
Current ACT WWVP registration required
This role requires manual handling and movement of a variety of items, including but not limited to Memorial Boxes.
