The NSW Education Standards Authority (?NESA?) was formally established on 1 January 2017 to improve quality teaching and student learning across all schools and school sectors.  It is responsible for the curriculum, assessment, teacher accreditation and regulatory standards in NSW schools, and accreditation of early childhood teachers
About the Role
As the Director, Curriculum Operations you will lead and direct the development, review and effective implementation of quality curriculum including school based assessment materials from Kindergarten to Year 12 (K-12) for all NSW schools. This includes alternative education programs for children of compulsory school age, promoting quality education, driving improved student outcomes, and ensuring robust and comprehensive content that meets the needs of students, teachers, schools and the community.
About you
  • You have experience in teaching and learning and curriculum development and implementation

  • You have the ability and experience to lead the development, introduction, review and monitoring of NESA and Government curriculum initiatives and policies.

Q1.     Describe a time when you have been required to manage multiple people/teams to deliver different educational projects on time, within budget, to meet quality requirements. Outline the situation and result, the main strategies you used, giving a specific example of how you mitigated risks of not delivering requirements. 
Q2.     Stakeholder engagement is an important part of successful curriculum development and delivery. Describe a specific situation for you as a leader, where competing stakeholder views jeopardised successful delivery of a project. What did you do, what was the outcome and what did you learn?
The selection process will include a range of comprehensive assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role.
The total remuneration package range for this role is from $186,300 to $261,450.
