SHIRE OF KENT AND SHIRE OF LAKE GRACE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY SERVICES MANAGER Full Time 3 Year Contract Position (Re-advertised) ($95,000 to $116,000 Package) An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic person to join the Shires of Kent and Lake Grace, their respective local communities, Emergency Service Groups, Volunteers and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, to lead and deliver emergency services across these local government areas. This is primarily a liaison role and is a local government position reporting to the relevant local government CEO. Applicants for the position of Community Emergency Services Manager will ideally have relevant qualifications and previous emergency management experience, with the ability to provide an effective and efficient delivery of Community Emergency Services. The position will be based in one of the shires, depending on where the successful applicant chooses to reside. Rental accommodation is available if required. Key components of this role include the provision of volunteer support, emergency management planning, basic financial reporting, community liaison, maintaining fire control, undertaking general inspections, and attending to relevant administration requirements. An attractive package is offered inclusive of a cash component of $70,000 to $80,000 depending on experience and an availability allowance will also be payable, together with superannuation and commuting use of a vehicle.
