We are seeking an energetic person to provide administrative support to the Community Health team of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff. The position is permanent full time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm.

A person with a high level attention to detail, a focus on customer service, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential. Experience in meeting preparation and minute taking, data entry/reporting and stock ordering and control is desirable. The person we are envisaging would suit this role would be professional, proactive, enjoy working in a service delivery position and contribute to providing a friendly and supportive environment to clients and colleagues alike.

What you`ll be doing

The Clinical Support Officer will provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team on designated ward(s) / unit(s) / network under the direction of a N/MUM. The CSO will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward/unit remain the responsibility of the N/MUM.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to exercise basic problem solving skills using reference to established methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrated computer/data entry skills, specifically with MS office products in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet based applications and databases.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute
