Looking after multiple project bids from $2m to over $50m you will manage the Estimation process from the assessment of plans to measuring quantities, securing prices from suppliers, completing the quantity take off, estimating production and building the program from first principles to completion.
As part of a team of two directors and 6 Estimators, you will be supported well and have ample opportunity to learn from your peers. You might be an Estimator with 2 years experience who wishes to build their experience and knowledge, or a seasoned campaigner with 20 plus years experience who could grow into a Bid Manager's role. All applicants will be judged according to merit and experience.
To be successful in this role?
Ideally, have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying Construction Management or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years experience as an Estimator with (ideally) a Tier 2 Civil Contractor, up to 30 years experience considered as a Senior or Bid Manager
Will consider a PM with estimation and variation management experience looking to get off site
Have a track record in estimating civil construction projects from first principles and winning tenders that are subsequently delivered for a profit
Proven ability to price jobs accurately and conservatively and a good win ratio on project tenders
Enjoy working with engineers and in a team environment
