Healthcare Australia is looking for experienced Casual Disability Support workers in and around the South Western Sydney (Campbelltown) to provide care and support to people who live with disabilities and who display challenging behaviours.
Duties would include but not limited to:
Supporting clients with challenging behaviours
Assisting with daily living skills and community access programmes
Promoting independence by supporting and enhancing individual client's experiences and opportunities
Supporting with menu planning and meal preparations
Dispensing and/or assisting with medication in line with the client's medical support plan
12+ Months paid experience working with disabilities and high challenging behaviours
3 Days+ Availability
Willing to travel at least half an hour to various locations
Knowledgeable in restrictive practices
You must have:
A current First Aid certificate
A current full NSW driver's license and Working with Children Check
Valid police check
You must also be passionate, reliable, flexible and dedicated to your clients.
A wide range of availability is required to cover a variety of shifts and eagerness to learn and grow as a disability support worker is a must.
Cert III/IV/Diploma/Bachelors qualifications in Mental Health
