Your new role

Based in Sydney, NSW and reporting to the Security Manager, the role of the Business Resilience Specialist is responsible for leading, managing and directing the Business Resilience & Crisis Management (BR&CM) Program to maintain a uniform organisational readiness and operational resilience in the event of a disruption to normal business operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the BR&CM program to protect TAFE NSW stakeholder interests, brand, reputation, and communities in which TAFE NSW operates. The Business Resilience Specialist will develop and continuously improve the business recovery, workforce continuity, critical process recovery, technology disaster recovery, business resumption, contingency planning and crisis/incident management components and processes of the BR&CM program. In conjunction with the Audit and Risk Unit, you will identify and assess business disruption risks and their impact associated with TAFE NSW`s business operation model.

You will develop close and effective working relationships with senior executives, managers, and external business continuity management service providers whilst reflecting TAFE NSW`s values in the way you work and place the customer safety at the centre of all decision making.

What you`ll need to succeed

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent industry experience and membership or accreditation with recognised business continuity and/or disaster recovers professional associations.
  • Working knowledge, understanding, and the ability in applying recognised industry toolsets and frameworks associated with business continuity management; International standards; and Regulatory standards and guidelines.
