Business Development Manager In Managed Services

Our client is part of one of Australia’s leading data management business being known for its capability within managed services, project services and business intelligence. The organisation is seeking to employ a capable BDM based in Melbourne. The main focus of the role will be to leverage off existing business relationships to selling across all of the organisations service offerings.
Your new role
Reporting directly into National Sales Manager there are 3 main areas to develop business relationships and sell the service offering. These three areas are partner channels, direct sales and a substantial current customer base currently dealing with the organisations parent company. You will be targeting small to medium sized businesses.
What you'll need to succeed
Its all about the network that you currently have in order to succeed in this role and they are looking for candidates that have dealt with small to medium sized businesses. Industry experience within data services across business intelligence, managed services or project services is highly desirable. However, candidates with experience selling software as a solution or other information technology related service contracts are encouraged to apply. You will need to be articulate and with the ability to build great client relationships. Excellent presenting and communication skills are a must, and an analytical mind will be highly sought after. A proven track record selling to a varied client base is also highly sought after.
