About the Role

In this brand new role, the Member Engagement Executive will play a fundamental role in achieving ambitious member acquisition and revenue growth objectives. As a crucial part of the Member Growth Business Unit, you will source new membership opportunities through meeting with existing members, often in group discussion settings, presenting IPA content and seeking referrals to new members. This also involves overall promotion of the IPA within the marketplace. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Close sales and achieve monthly targets
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
  • End to end assessment of all membership applications according to IPA assessment guidelines

About you...

To be successful in this role you will have to be comfortable in a buzzing team environment and be dynamic both over the phone and in person. You will thrive on building relationships, using a consultative selling style and winning new business.

 This role will involve some regional travel within NSW and greater Sydney

Essential experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (essential)
  • Experience in Business Development (essential)
  • Proven sales experience and a track record of over-achieving targets
  • Extensive business development competencies
  • Experience working with CRM's
  • Experience of the professional services industry will be highly regarded

  • Strong personal presence and comfort with presenting to groups of professionals
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
