This is a rare and exciting opportunity to challenge yourself in this broad role encompassing all functions from; financial accounting & compliance, financial reporting & analysis, taxation and payroll.

The main duties of the Assistant Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Reporting of local financial accounting results, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Control and management of fixed costs
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in the finalisation of monthly accounts
  • Post daily and monthly journal entries
  • Assist in the budget process and cash flow forecasting
  • Facilitate and support process improvement within all financial accounting controls and procedures
  • Business partner with operations teams to aid process improvement, and deliver robust, industry leading solutions


The successful Assistant Accountant will be highly autonomous and pro-active, with excellent relationship building skills.

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance
  • CPA/CA Qualified
  • Minimum 3 years local experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Finance, Taxation and Payroll functions
  • Experience within manufacturing essential
  • Proficient in SAP preferred
